This part of our service is specifically tailored to take generic forms of Maori carved greenstone designs and add our own special twist making them truly one of a kind.

CONSULTATION:
Let’s create something meaningful together! We’ll start with a free consultation to understand the story behind your taonga and your vision for the piece. We’ll work through design ideas and choose the perfect pounamu, all while keeping your timeline in mind.

COMMISSION TAONGA

DEPOSIT:
A 50% deposit is typically required, Once the deposit is confirmed, the carving process will commence.
COMPLETION AND DELIVERY:
Upon completion, photos of the finished product will be shared to confirm your satisfaction. You can then choose to pick it up or have it shipped to you once the final payment is received. This process aims to be both collaborative and adaptable, ensuring the final piece embodies your vision and intentions.

Wananga Pounamu Carving Experiences
Our carving class is an introduction to the art of pounamu carving and some history and significance of the resource to Maori culture.
Throughout the session you will learn how to properly use and identify the tools of the trade, identify the different types of greenstone and basic design.
Skill levels and time factor are taken in to consideration for each participant.
Classes are run daily for the duration of 4 hours.
